Was cruising the web when I came across this story...

That's assuming the new Captain Kirk wouldn't turn down an offer to play Hal Jordan in Martin Campbell's GREEN LANTERN - which, per producer Donald DeLine, will begin shooting this September in Australia (in order to make a December 17, 2010 release date). According to IESB's source (and Patrick Sauriol of Coming Attractions has evidently heard likewise), Pine is at the top of a list of potential "under 30s" Jordans. This makes much more sense than previous rumors, which sounded like total fanboy inventions (especially Nathan Fillion). "
Funny thing about this is that i first learned about this movie today and talked about who would make a good Hal. My buddy looked me square in the eye and said "The new Kirk". That dude has ESP I tell yah.

A ring? omg. This world is going insane. Are producers desperate or somthing? I agree with u Sirch instead of spending more money on this supperhero crap they should spend it on somthing good like DL somthing that isnt run of the mill.

I heard that Marvel is doing all the hero movies so that they can do the Justice League. That is why Ironman showed-up in the last scene of the new Hulk movie. I think all of these others are just tring to feed off Marvel's ideas....but that's just me.

Oh and their was a movie called Cloak and Dagger made in the 80's but it had nothing to do with the comic book hero's. It was some kind of spy movie.

Argggh it's not Justice League! It's The Avengers!
Justice League is the one with Batman and Superman (DC Comics)
Avengers is the Spiderman, Iron Man, Captain America one (Marvel Comics)
Speaking of which, I have the scoop on those movies! I'll make a new post about it though so this doesn't stray off-topic.

ok DM, I ban you from this topic. Thank you Slorg for saying that. I was cringing reading all of that.
And Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern wouldn't just be any other Joe Schmoe without his ring. First off all, and coolest of all this guy has no fear at all. Like none. Bat-man is a big joke to him. Secondly, he is the most pure man on all of Earth. Like Super-man pure. All full of morals and goodness.
Now the reason why he has this ring is because of the Green lantern Corps. They are THE ultimate Police Force in the universe. The creators of it have the ability to make these rings of power that can litterally do what ever their owner wants them to do. Green Lantern can take on Super-man toe to toe, and has a good chance of winning.
So don't groan and moan about one of the greatest and coolest super heroes out there. For all we know, we could be getting epic space battles as hoardes of aliens attack Earth! This movie has the possbility of being done on a huge scale. Anything is possible, litterally!
