I loved both series, but LOTR needed the Appendix to flesh out so much of the references in the book. If you have read the books and not the appendix you need to go back and read the appendix
THe CG in Beowulf was done amazingly well, the same as Polar Express Robert Zemekis is a great director and I would think they could do a great job on Dragonlance.
Now I would PREFER a live action movie no doubt. But maybe they would go the CG route for a trilogy before going live action?
What would be the point of doing both? If one already exists and its good why re do it? Its a sure thing that there will never be a remake of LOTR so if DL were done in CG first what would be the point of a live action?

Either way, a live pix with good actors would be preferable if done extremely well and the right way. Obviously it would take more that one two hour movie to do even the first book properly.
