i just found out from my teacher that i can use an old DL pic but place it with a photoshop background... any suggestions on this update?
edit: another quote i found "At that moment, if someone had appeared before him and offered him a bent penny to flee, he would have grabbed the coin and run." - i was thinking i would tailor it to myself by changing the "he"s and "him"s into "I"s and "Me"s. also, i hate Bess and her evil blocking of Photobucket, DeviantArt, and anywhere else i could look

Dude I like the Caramon quote.. If you put too long of a quote on a t-shirt people might not read it. Or you will have people following you around all day trying to read your shirt haha.. If you use that Caramon quote you should get a really angry pic of him to go with it... With the Raistlin quote anything of him looking creepy (which is basically any picture of him) would be good.. I will look around for ya..
Yep, the sidekick is still there :) I need to update her pic too cuz we got that big black mole on her left cheek removed. But that picture is just too cute to replace! When it warms up and we start going to the beach again I will get a new one.

well the problem now is not finding a few good quotes, good idea with the kitchen one, but with Bess and blocking all the sites i tried to go to with dragonlance art...
i was thinking about an awesomely funny picture of the heroes at the Inn to go with that quote too...

Ok...time for the Lurker to submit something of hers. I just posted this on Deviantart as well and figured I might as well submit it here as well. The TRUE fans of Dragonlance.  Also since the painting is pretty large it couldn't be scanned so this is a photo of it. ::shudder:: But it will have to do. There are a few things here and there I need to touch up but I felt it was coming along nicely and wanted to share with my fellow artists/fans of Dragonlance.
It is entitled "The Choice." This scene takes place in Time of the Twins. When Raistlin tells Crysania that the mages sent her back in time to him in order to be rid of her not to save her. And she has a choice. She can stay there and be destroyed by the Cataclysm or she can journey with him into the Abyss and face the Dark Queen together.
I know technically Raistlin isn't supposed to have Gold Skin and White hair in the past but I felt if Larry Elmore could break the rules a bit...then so can I. :D
Would love some constructive critiques and any thoughts and views about it.

That is wonderful! And I am glad you went with the gold skin.. it's just not Raistlin without the gold skin  What type of paint do you use?

Thanks! I agree. It would be hard to tell who he is without his trademarks.
I use Oils. I find they are very forgiving with mistakes most of the time. The only thing is you have to have A LOT of patience with them. They take a lot of time to dry.
BTW Gems...love your stuff too! And actually all of everyone's work on this website. It is what inspired me to post mine. I love fan art. Is there a more enjoyable way to teach yourself art? |

Everyone draws Raistlin with gold skin and white hair no matter what time he's in, so it's perfectly okay. :D
Very nice painting, Bella! I like their faces and Crysania's pose especially. Though I think Raistlin's robe should be darker (though if it just showed up this way in the scan/photo, forget about it). I am impressed!
