I do like the CGI theory, we could stop complaining as to who should play who and more who should be the voice of who. But with Real Live action film, you become more connected with the characters.

Caramon:yes, Tas. Caring does hurt a lot of the time. But the hurt is better that being empty inside.

no ones complaining...hell we dont really get a say in who goes in anyways so no reason to complain till a cast is set for an actual movie :)

Gobby's right... And so is hottopicman, we do get more attatched to somone who's flesh'n'blood. But ya know, that only goes as far as how WELL the actor plays the part.

An example of this is how touching the story is when you read it, how ya cried when Strum was killed, or Flint died... Video games have done such things as well, all RPG's of course but they have. It's all in our imagination, and CGI would play off that more then with real life.

yes thank you! you get to feel more for the charaters if they are actualy people playing them. CGI's can look as good as they want but they will never capture actualy human feelings. That is the point of these movies being live action

Uh... Your welcome... But I was also saying that if they were less then flesh and blood, it wouldn't be impossible to get attached.

yes I am a gamer. I play all diffrent types of games, not just video games. I know what your trying to say. Stuff like in final fantasy 2 with all those character that had all that story line to them, yes you could almost get attached to them but like I have been saying IN MY OPINION I cannot get attached to them like I do in a book, or would for the movie if it were a graphic. This is my point. My opinion.

There are goods to both sides of the coin. Myself, I would go for the live action.

but as all action movies go, there is always trouble in finding the prefect location, one that will have all the needed areas within a 200 mile radius. Peter jackson got lucky with New Zealand but I don't know if that would work for this movie.
